Ultimate Lemon Ginger Blast Variation


After a week full of beets, carrots, apples and ginger, this weekend starts with the Lemon Ginger Blast variation on a Dan McDonald recipe.  This mixture is so packed with chlorophyll and ingredients to detox!! This mix is not really for the first time juicer who has not developed a pallet for juicing.  I try to sweeten this up with apples and a whole lemon with skin.  The whole lemon is essential to bring all of this green together.  This recipe is a mind defogger, a gut healer, a harmful bacteria destroyer and above all a Crohn’s Disease eradicator!! 

Ultimate Lemon Ginger Blast v2

  • 1 full lemon with skin
  • 1 inch ginger
  • Handful of Dill
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 bulb of fennel
  • 2-3 celery stalks
  • 1 Bell pepper
  • Kale
  • Cilantro
  • Parsley
  • 1 medium apple

I know this is a ton of ingredients and it proves why juicing is awesome as you would never eat all of this in one 15 min period of time!! Try this recipe once and if you are worried about flavor, add red grapes into this to totally sweeten and cover any bitter flavors:)

Crohn’s/Colitis Specific Juice + Cool Tip


This recipe below focuses on healing of the gut lining, correcting the imbalance of bacteria and reducing inflammation.  After making the juice, see the cool tip at the bottom to chill the juice down without watering it down.

Balance Juice

  • Pear – Colon health, anti-inflammatory, immune booster

Cool Tip:  I thought about this idea today and I am sure others have figured this one out before.  I love to add coconut water to my juice to both smooth it out and cool it down.  I thought why not just pour the coconut water directly into an ice cube tray.  It will add a bit of extra sweetness to your juice to cover possible bitterness and cool the juice down without watering it down.  Coconut water also has electrolytes and works better than Gatorade to provide hydration to the body.

My original goal for juicing was to heal my body of Crohn’s and get off of all medication and I have accomplished that.  Why not stop the daily juicing habit then?

This is one of the most creative mixes that I have created thus far.  All of the ingredients in this mix have the potential to heal your Crohn’s/Colitis and or other health issues.  This is so jam packed with vitamins, anti-oxidants and phytonutrients. This is so great for your entire body and it was sweet.
