Here is one that I just made to alkalize the body after a long week. You might want to add some more sweet to it with an apple or two to make it taste great. I don’t care because I do it for health first and taste second. 🙂
- Green Cabbage = ulcer healer
- Parsley = alkalizer
- Cilantro = Heavy metal detox
- Kale = Super food!!! Inflammation
- Celery = Hydrate
- Ginger = Everything!!
- Oranges = immunity
- Apples = Colon cleanser, but nice about it! haha
Want to knock out Crohn’s/Colitis? Drink this recipe 2-3 times per week for 30 days and reboot the intestinal environment to run like a healthy machine!
- 1 Apple
- 1 Pear
- 1 full lemon
- Half cucumber
- 2-3 celery
- 1 handful of spinach
- 2 leaves Kale
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 2 inches of ginger
This will probably make about 32oz of juice so you may want to half the recipe or tweak it. This combination has everything you need to begin to reverse the harmful effects of Crohn’s. The apple, pear and lemon will help to cover any bitter flavors and bring it all together. The greens will alkalize your body and begin the healing process. If you have an overgrowth of bacteria, this drink will begin to cleanse that out as well. The ginger, pear and greens will soothe inflammation!! Remember Crohn’s hates green!

This week is going to be green juice week!! (Sunday to Sunday)! Green juice is the most beneficial mixture that you can drink for any health ailment, especially gastrointestinal disorders. One of the best drinks that you can consume for any illness is a green juice. It is amazing the energy that I feel just minutes after drinking just 12-16oz. I have such mental clarity with the ability to think through and solve problems easily. I do not wander into a room anymore and forget why I went in there – haha. I notice that even when I wake up at 5:20am for work, I am fully alert and I can feel the difference.
What is it about green juice that helps to solve so many health problems??
- Energizing – It is basically liquid sun (Chlorophyll) = oxygen to the blood/energy burst!
- Detoxifying – Flushes out toxins, bacteria, ect.. that slow your body down.
- Cleansing – Purifies the blood!

The Lemon Ginger Blast = (Dan McDonald Recipe)
- 1 Lemon – Whole
- ginger – 1 thumb
- mint – 1 bunch
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1/2 fennel
- 3-4 celery
- 1/2 bunch dandelion
- 2-3 leaves Kale
- 1 bunch cilantro
Long day today and finally put together the green juice!! I now feel super energized!! Here are the ingredients: Kale, Cilantro, Parsley, Apple, Lemon, Ginger, Cucumber, Bell Pepper, Celery.
This is for energy, detoxification, inflammation and healing!!!

One of the most beneficial juices that I drink a few times a week is a green juice. It is filled with ingredients that I would not normally eat due to the fiber content. I feel that the green juices have been the most healing to my system and this is due to the vitamins, nutrients and anti-inflammatory qualities they have. They also help to cleanse the body of bacteria, toxins and candida (yeast). The green juices help with Crohn’s Disease to strengthen the good bacteria and flush out the bad. This helps to balance the environment in your gut and lessen the symptoms that you have. Here is one of my favorite green juice mixes to try and see how it works for you.
The Green Monster:
- 1-2 sweet apples
- 1 large green bell pepper
- half or whole lemon with skin
- thumb length of ginger
- 2 -3 Kale leaves
- 1 bunch Parsley
- 1 bunch Cilantro
