Apple Cider Vinegar : Digestion

Since I am in this current predicament, I have the chance to write more and to find out ways to improve my own digestion. My plan is to try to eat smaller meals, chew food well and to include apple cider vinegar into the routine at night before dinner.  I am here at the hospital because I was not able to digest all of the almonds, cashews, pecans, nut flour based muffins and it created a blockage.  The good news is that the rest of my intestines look good and that’s medicine free and juicing results for about 10+ months now:)

I plan to select foods that are easily digestible and to try and go a more vegetarian route, but still including eggs, chicken and fish.  I also plan to purchase a slow juicer to replace my high speed one so that I can juice more leafy greens and preserve maximum vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients.  Next, I plan to include this very simple recipe about 15 minutes before dinner time.


  • 1 Tbs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (with the Mother)
  • 12oz of water
  • 1-2 tsp of honey

This mixture seems to be amazing for digestion and a list of many other things.  It provides the stomach with acids to break down the food easier.  It provides enzyme production so the food is broken down quicker and easier.  Here is a good link to 15 benefits:

New Anti-Inflammatory Recipe

This juice recipe I created was pretty unique both in taste and in color.  The ingredients in this one mix together in an interesting way and almost taste tropical.  The color is like a salmon pink color which was quite a difference from what I have been making. I bought the aloe juice at Trader Joe’s for $1.99.  It comes in a small bottle and I usually have one when I go shopping there over the weekend.  Please make this one and let me know what you think.  

Inflammation Soother

  • 10 oz organic aloe juice  – Anti-inflammatory
  • 1 apple – colon cleansing 
  • 2-3 purple carrots – Antibacterial
  • 1/2 lemon with skin – Anti-inflammatory
  • 1 inch ginger – Anti-inflammatory 
  • 1/4 fennel bulb – Anti-inflammatory

Please pass on this blog site to others who are having trouble with Crohn’s or Colitis.  I see way too many people on the social networks that still think the next drug is going to magically work for them.  They need to give this all a good solid try.

“But I love Sugar!!” : Why cutting sugar helps to ease symptoms of IBS/Crohns/Colitis

I am convinced at this point that these conditions above stem from an unbalanced flora in the gi tract.  Strains of yeast, bacteria and parasites take over the system over time and are the prime cause of leaky gut and many chronic diseases.  Why else does every specialist prescribe a probiotic along with handfuls of prescription drugs?? They know that this is the case, but they don’t tell you about diet or how to cleanse this overgrowth out of your system for good.  If they did, they would lose their patient as you would not need to return to them!  

What does this have to do with sugar?? Yeast, bacteria and parasites all thrive on sugar!! They multiply in an environment of a host that ingests a lot of sugary foods.  It is not just the foods that contain a high amount of sugar that you have to worry about.  Many things turn to sugar like carbohydrates (bread products).  

In addition to cleansing my system, I have starved this yeast, bacteria, fungus and parasites by not providing food for them.  They die off due to lack of a food source and then juicing comes into play and totally knocks this stuff out for good!!!  

The juicing provides enzymes, vitamins, minerals and kills all of these unwanted organisms.  This is why it works!!!

If you truly want to be free for good of these above conditions, you will have to make some major changes to get your body back to what it was.  Diet, Detox, Replenish, Regenerate and Heal!!!

Juicing Cabbage: Ulcers, Colitis + Crohns

If you have ulcers anywhere in your digestive tract, then you need to get some cabbage juice in there pronto!! Cabbage is loaded with antioxidants and contains many beneficial vitamins.  This wonderful veggie contains many phytonutrients that fight cancer and detoxify your body.  It works very well on ulcers because it contains glutamine.  This helps to repair ulcers and the lining of your digestive tract.  Cabbage has numerous health benefits and is easy to include in your daily juice.  I love to mix it with carrots, which are also soothing to the gi tract.  Here is a good recipe to start off with that even tastes good to boot!

  • 1/4 head of green/purple cabbage
  • 3-4 carrots
  • 1 apple
  • 1 thumb of ginger
