Juicing = Proactive Health


I was out on my weekly juicing supply trip at Trader Joe’s and I got so many good things including organic carrots, beets, kale, parsley, cilantro, spinach, green peppers, oranges, lemons and pineapple.  I like to gather all colors of the rainbow and then make either a red or green juice – ha! ( I know, juicing humor ) lol

I got up to the cashier and she mentioned that it must be expensive to juice like I do each week.  I immediately said that it is proactive for my current problems and for future ones. I thought to myself, this is exactly why I do this, to be proactive and not wait for a problem to develop. 

I envision that when I drink this fresh organic juice mixture that it travels through my gi tract healing, rebuilding and nourishing all tissue it comes in contact with.  The mind is very powerful, so I like to picture that and believe that as I practice this daily.

I do still take my medicine as prescribed, but I need to add proactive natural treatments like daily juicing, turmeric supplements, green tea and vitamins B and D.  The medicine doesn’t heal, it just calms things down.  Natural interventions speed up the process.

Here is a powerful green juice that I made today.  I left out the ginger because I was tired of the spice. 🙂

Proactive Green:

  • 2 apples
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1/4 pineapple
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 2 handfuls kale

**I use the green pepper to block the greens from the blade in the high speed juicer and that way you get more out of them. **
