*2* Years of Juicing4Crohns

Well it has been an interesting 2 years of juicing for Crohn’s Disease. There have literally been blocks in the road that have taught me that I don’t know everything and I needed to change my approach.  I almost quit this site after the second blockage/hospitalization due to stress, but over time I figured things out and kept up the good fight.

I have been juicing daily and sometimes every other day for over 2 years.  I truly believe that if I just stuck to my prescription medication alone, I would have had more issues along the way.  The most important thing I have learned is that you need to take your medication as prescribed, but you also need to add something natural to it.  You can add in juice, make shakes, take turmeric capsules, oregano oil and supplement green powder if needed.  You need to do something extra in addition to your medicine to fully take on this disease.  Medication leads to more medication and it needs a helper.

Here are some key things that I have learned about juicing over these 2 years:

  • It gives you tremendous energy and mental clarity – even early am.
  • It brings in oxygen and chlorophyll, to kill cancer cells.
  • It heals the lining of your damaged intestines.
  • It is anti-inflammatory for Crohn’s and other diseases.
  • It makes you look younger.
  • It is antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic.

The video below by Jason Vale fully explains why you really need to get into this lifestyle daily even if you do not have any health problems.  It is a preventative to potential future health issues!

As always, feel free to comment or ask a few questions! Happy New Year!

  1. I agree with you 100% that you need both medication and something natural/holistic approach as well. I believe that the natural approach clears that way decreasing the inflammation so that the medication work properly. In regards to juicing- do you take note to the sugar content in the juices you make? I know for myself- too much sugar is overwhelming to my system and juices made by juicing fruits and veggies in the stores (the legit juices) appear very high in sugar content. Any suggestions on juices low in sugar?

    • I am guilty of juicing ingredients that are high in sugar! I try to tell myself that it contains good sugar – haha. The best juices should just have 1-2 fruit ingredients just to slightly sweeten. Green juices with just an apple or wedge of pineapple should do the trick.

I like your thinking on natural and prescription working together to get positive results:):)

  2. Hi guys! I am currently trying to gather data around Juicing and Inflammatory Bowel Disease 🙂
I have a short survey looking at some of the possible effects of such diets and if you could take just 5 minutes of your time to complete it could help a lot with the research 🙂

There is the link to the survey where there is also more information on the study 🙂
