**Ideas to help gain weight/heal**

I have trouble keeping weight on and gaining it and I know there are many out there who hate me for this.  It is equally annoying when your clothes don’t fit from lack of weight as it is to not be able to lose weight.

One of the problems with Crohn’s/Colitis and IBS is the damage it can cause to your intestinal villi that help to absorb food. The other problem is that these conditions increase and decrease intestinal transit time and in many cases the food moves through too fast.  The villi are actually pushed over and the food literally runs right through you!

#2:  Take L-Glutamine – This next one was recommended to me long ago by a certified nutritionist and after reading the comments from those on Amazon, it seems to be working for those with leaky gut and IBS.  This product works to heal the lining of your gi tract and also lifts up the villi that has been pushed over by Crohn’s and IBS.  When these villi are lifted up and healed they can better digest and absorb nutrients from your food causing weight gain. #3:  Adding Coconut Oil / Avocado to your Juice!:  When you make a freshly extracted juice, you already have mega vitamins, nutrients and many healing properties.  You can then add in coconut oil or avocado by blending it in to add calories to the juice.  Coconut oil is also amazing for killing off harmful bacteria and candida yeast.  Avocado has healthy fat and calories that help to add a richness to your juice.

I hope that some of these ideas can help a few of you out there.  For those who are trying to lose the weight, juicing can be amazing for that as well in addition to a good balanced diet.
