Ginger on a Budget : Ginger Cinnamon Tea

I have been adding a new drink into the mix lately a few times per week.  I have been making fresh ginger/cinnamon tea either in the morning or evening.  This is really easy to make and if you are not financially ready to invest in a juicer just yet, it is perfect.  You still get the benefits from these powerful ingredients.

How to make:

  • 1.  Take a nub of Ginger and peel the skin off.
  • 2.  Using a lemon zester or cheese grater to shave the ginger into a pot on the stove.
  • 3.  Pour water over the grater to rinse the ginger shavings in and add water to the pot.
  • 4.  Shake in or add a tsp of cinnamon and mix.
  • 5.  Turn on the flame really low and slowly heat for 10 minutes.  (Do not let it boil)
  • 6.  Pour into a cup and let the ginger and cinnamon sink to the bottom (tap mug on table)
  • 7.  Drink it up!!

This drink is basically called fire water!! It is so incredibly good for you and here is what it does for your body:

Ginger:

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Antibacterial
  • Antifungal
  • Cancer prevention
  • Immunity booster
  • Reduce acid in the body
  • Reduce gas
  • Digestion
  • Migraine Headaches

Cinnamon:

  • Lower cholesterol
  • Cancer cell fighter
  • Antifungal, anti-parasitic, anti-viral
  • Fights yeast – candida overgrowth
  • Digestion
  • Immunity booster

This would be a great start if you have any problem listed above and you are not quite into the daily juicing habit.
