Personal Progress: 10 weeks and going strong!!


Well today is my 10 week anniversary of my juicing start date on January 11th.  It started out as just a 20 day challenge and now here I am.  I have not missed a single day since beginning!! Here are some of my personal results that I hope you can experience for yourself:

  • I have been crohns and Ibs medicine free for 10 weeks now.  My medicine is simply collecting dust in the cabinet! – YES!!!
  • Since stopping the medicine 10 weeks ago and adding juicing, my symptoms have vanished🙂
  • I have 24 hour energy from the time I wake up at 5:20, teach 24 eight year olds, workout and then bed at 10. 
  • My mind is clear and fast.  I can make decisions and deliver instruction as a teacher with ease. 
  • My mood has been lifted and I am generally in good spirits 90% of the time.
  • I have achieved a physical body through exercise that I have never attained before. 
  • I work with children and I do not get sick – increased immunity!

I urge you to give it a try because you have nothing to lose.  I am so excited with my progress and I will keep juicing as my medicine for years to come!! Share this blog with others and help them!!

  1. I am suffering from ibs that of mucous type.
    could you please let me know how much effective is juicing in case of ibs.
    what is juicing for crohn’s and how is it processed and implemented?

    • Your body creates mucous when there is inflammation and by juicing certain ingredients that are anti-inflammatory this goes away. Anti-inflammatory are – ginger, green leafy veggies/herbs, lemon with skin, pears, sweet potatoes, turmeric, ect… the mucous will begin to disappear as the inflammation is decreased.

  2. My stool comes out as of the ribbony structure.
    it is not getting rigidity and solidity,that is a big concern for me.
    since i am suffering from this problem for last one and a half year,taking leafy veggies did not impact me at all during this troubling time.
    my condition is still same as it was last year or i will say more aggravated.
    i would be really thankful to you, if u guide me through these simple tips and help me in sorting out this problem.

    • If you add fiber it actually hurts ibs and makes it worse. When you juice, you remove the fiber part and leave all of the vitamins and healing nutrients. I would be happy to help you and my next post can be about IBS and what you need to do in addition to juicing.

    How is juicing done with such anti inflammatory ingridents

    • For someone with IBS or crohn’s I would not suggest you eat them whole = Too much fiber!! When you juice the produce you get all of the benefits without using the fiber in your drink. You must juice them!!! A juicer will be the best investment you can make for yourself:):):)

    • ginger produces just a little bit of juice, but it really potent!! You only need a little. Spinach produces quite a bit of juice. Here would be a sample recipe using those: Apple, Celery, Spinach, Ginger, lemon. The apple and lemon are your sweet, the celery is a water base, the spinach for the greens, ginger for anti inflammatory and basically everything else.

  4. your suggestions are really impressive.
    still i have not processed these ingridents but i am damn sure that the juicing done with the said ingridents is going to influence.
    dear sir i am an indian living in the remote area far from the city and to meet with all these requiring ingridents is a challenging and tough activity for me.

    • I see that could pose a problem being far away. That is a tough situation. Do you farm and grow your own closer by? I know of some websites where they deliver these ingredients once a week to your door from a local farm, but you might be too far out and that might only be an American website. This is the kind of website – http://www.farmfreshtoyou.com/index.php?cmd=homedelivery. It might be too far away, but who knows there could be a local farm somewhere near to you that could help. 🙂

  6. My dear i am facing lots of hardships.
    it z raining fluid with my stool whenever i use to pass it out plus the undigested food stuffs are visible mostly the green veggies that makes me feel tense at every moment of life.
    To be honest i never juiced any of your said ingridents.
    but i will try it to my best.
    The doctors earlier in 2013 diagnosed me with ibs and treating the same problem for last 1 and a half year could not produce the fruitful results for me.
    i am very tense with it now

I normally eat whatever comes into my diet as per our tradition.but when my ibs aggravated i cut out some of the items from my diet and remain mostly dependent on prevention.my diet includes rice, curd, lettuce or kale.underground vegetables like onion,potato,reddish etc.have been out of my reach for last 6 months and also meat,cheese and eggs doesn’t touch my mouth.
    As far as prebiotics are concerned i took them for two months,but no change could prevail and then i absconded from that medication.

    • Your diet sounds great. The only thing that might be bothering or aggravating the ibs is the fiber. If you eat to much insoluble fiber, it might do more harm than good. This fiber does not break down. Look for soluble fiber instead..this fiber breaks down into a smooth gel and absorbs. I use metamucil as my primary fiber because to much veggies send me to the bathroom too often.

  11. To worry is that whenever i use to go to the bathroom i never find my stool in rigid or solid form.
    And it contains gel as well as fluid.this sort of excretion agitates me to a greater level because the indigestion already plays a worst role inside the body and then ensues by the stress in the mind.
