Red Energy Juice!!!

I’d like to recommend a new drink combination that I recently created and it is called Red Energy.  This juice combo is packed with ingredients that increase energy levels almost instantly. Here is the recipe that makes about 32oz of juice:

  • 1 peeled beet
  • 1 whole red bell pepper
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 whole lemon with skin
  • 3-4 carrots
  • 2-3 leaves of Kale
  • 1 inch of ginger

This combination also has another benefit to it.  It allows you to test your intestinal transit time from drinking it to elimination.  If your digestive system is healthy and working properly, it should take about 12-18 hours to travel through your system.  After drinking this be prepared to see red, but don’t be alarmed, it is just the beets!  If it takes much longer, you might be kinked up somewhere along the way.  If it goes through faster, you may not be getting a chance to fully digest food as it moves through.
